North Jackson Backyard Beginnings
Leonard Truck and Trailer’s journey began in 1963 when Stan and Peg Leonard started a small operation out of their backyard in North Jackson, Ohio. The couple initially dealt solely with horse trailers, but in the twenty-three years that followed, expanded their repertoire to all kinds of trailers and accessories.
In 1986, the couple’s son, Clint Leonard, joined the team as a sales rep. He spearheaded a period of strong growth, further expanding its product line and building the largest trailer part and aftermarket sales department in the state.
Today, LT&T is renowned for offering a massive array of trailer types. This wasn’t always the case, however—a large part of this expansion was driven by Clint.
Moving On Up
Under Clint’s leadership, Leonard Truck and Trailer was growing a little too large for its original location. In 1999, the Leonards made the pivotal move to a new facility, still in North Jackson, but with hugely expanded premises and better access to major cities like Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
This new, enormous location played a key role in cementing Leonard Truck and Trailer’s position as a leader in its field. It now boasts a 24,000-square-foot facility, along with an 11,000-square-foot service center. Today, LT&T is synonymous with all things truck and trailer, from purchasing to general upkeep and even custom vinyl graphics.
